Studies suggest Echinacea has antidepressant properties and stimulates the immune system.
Echinacea purpurea is a North American species of flowering plant in the sunflower family. It is native to eastern North America and is present to some extent in the wild over much of the eastern, southeastern and midwestern United States as well as in the Canadian Province of Ontario.
It's been used as medicine for centuries. There are nine species. Some of its common names are the purple coneflower or black-eyed Susan. The leaves, stems, flower, and roots are used to make supplements, liquid extracts, and teas.

Some animals need their time to smell and try it since a lot of them have never smelled a flower or certain herbs before.
We, however, found that most bunnies and other critters digged our flower mixes right away. :-)

Please note that some of these herbs like dandelions, red clover and nettles contain a larger amount of calcium compared to other herbs or flowers. In their fresh state some of these herbs may be diuretic but if you have an animal with bladder stones or issues with bladder sludge we suggest to consult your vet before offering these as treats.
