Degu Aisle

In this aisle you will find everything, from herbs and flowers, that we are offering especially with Degus in mind.

Please note that some of the herbs you will find here may not be suitable to feed other small animals.

Rabbits for example can eat many of these herbs but they may not be suitable for guinea pigs or hamsters due to calcium or other contents.

Degus originate from the arid plains of the Andes in Chile and should therefore be fed a variety of herbs, leaves, roots and some seeds. Even the most common pellets are unsuitable since all pellets are held together by some form of carbohydrates.

A Degu G.I. tract is not used to wet food like veggies or lettuces or sugary food like fruits and therefore can become diabetics very easily.
