Is a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree native to the Indian subcontinent.
It is widely cultivated for its young seed pods and leaves, used as vegetables and for traditional herbal medicine. It is also used for water purification.
Moringa is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Potassium, Calcium, Iron and Protein. It contains over 90 different nutrients and 46 antioxidants. Moringa should be added to a tortoise's diet a few times week.

Please note that some of these herbs like dandelions, red clover and nettles contain a larger amount of calcium compared to other herbs or flowers. In their fresh state some of these herbs may be diuretic but if you have an animal with bladder stones or issues with bladder sludge we suggest to consult your vet before offering these as treats.
